Jacqueline’s skirt is made of moiré fabric with an asymmetrical ruffle.
Moire is a fabric with a characteristic optical effect: at a certain angle of light, it displays a smooth, wavy pattern that resembles tree rings or streaks on a wood cut. The fabric changes shades and creates an effect of shine and depth. Moire has been known since ancient times, and its production has Eastern origins. In Europe, the fabric became popular in the 18th century in France, where it began to be mass‑produced. Initially, moire fabric was made from silk, and this fabric was considered a symbol of luxury.
Handmade skirt. Complex cut, asymmetrical ruffle, sealed seams. The elastic waistband allows you to wear the skirt higher or lower — the fit can be adjusted according to height and preference.
